Hi Scottish Fiddle Lovers "Out there", Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that MPK was interviewed in the show called "What's Happening". This was a prerecorded show to be aired all of December on Cable Channel 10 in Marshfield, WI. The times are Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 8am, 1pm and 8pm. We did some Christmas songs, our own arrangement of Coventry Carol and What Child is This. We played some traditional Scottish and Irish fiddle tunes. Maranatha and Joanna danced the Highland Fling, Sword Dance and Chantreuse.
Our host, Heather was a rapid learner. She danced the first part of the Highland Fling quite well. "Heather, we've got this gig coming up in December and we could use another dancer!" Dawn put on her "country tartan " hat and we did "Why you choose to love me" with flying electric guitar and Fiddle with some rock organ from Maranatha. (Noah on drum kit) Our interviewers asked for something "a little more upbeat".
We closed the recording with an original tune by Joanna, entitled "Sleepy Jo" She composed it Tuesday night while Michelle (our sound person) and I were setting up the sound system. Jo, "Natha" , Dawn and Noah were huddled off to the side of the stage "jammin" and Jo came up with a very catchy little Celtic tune which I'm sure we'll play for years to come. "Good work Jo".

Hi Everyone, This is Deb, alias "M" as in MaMa of MPK. How are you? I hope you're doing well.
We are very excited about a new opportunity for us. God is so good about opening the doors He wants open. I received a call from the executive producer of "What's Happening". This is a local cable TV station. Channel 10 of Marshfield WI. We have been invited to do a set. The set will include traditional Scottish Fiddle tunes, Scottish Dance and Christmas songs. We will do our own arrangements of some traditional Christmas songs and play an original tune that Dawn and I wrote. We will also perform some of our standard Scottish fiddle tunes with a few Cape Breton tunes thrown in. We will be filmed November 15th at the Chestnut Center of the Arts.
I'm "slave-driving" Maranatha and Joanna, commanding them to "DANCE.....DANCE" They are practicing for our upcoming gig @ Yonkers Department Store, Marshfield, WI, tomorrow, Saturday November 11, 2006. It's not very hard to get Joanna to dance. She's been dancing in Ballet since age 7. She is now on pointe and she is lovely. (Oh well, I'm a mother!) Maranatha soothes me with her beautiful piano!
