Meet the Band!
Dawn
This is Dawn. Wife, mom, dramatic poet, singer, songwriter, whistle and flute player, and secretary of Uttermost Ministries, the mission arm of Our Father’s House Christian Community Church, are a few of the hats she wears. Dawn is responsible for any song we play that doesn't fit the celtic mold. She is the author of 2 books: Dead Guys Don't Sin: Poetry and Ponderings and her latest Jesus Be the Boss of Me: Poetry and Ponderings Volume 2. November 24, 2022 was the exciting day Titus the Musical, the entire book of Titus in 11 catchy songs, her first solo project was released. She is big sister to Maranatha and Joanna, wife to Preston, and mom to four amazing people, two of which are in MPK, but most importantly a doulay, bondservant of JESUS Christ!
Maranatha
Meet Maranatha, the beautiful wife of Pastor Vince, sister to Dawn and Joanna, auntie to Noah and Ella, keyboardist, vocalist, and songwriter who inspires us with her deep fire for the Lord. When not performing with MPK, she most certainly will be found taking care of the three cutest kids in the universe (and we're not at all biased in that opinion 🤣). She can multitask like a ninja (after all she is a certified fitness trainer) while practicing, caring for her wee bairns, and even used the darth vadar theme to invent scripture memory songs to help little Finley hide God’s Word in his heart! Proverbs 31 mom alert!!!
Noah is Dawn’s eldest son, Maranatha and Joanna’s nephew, Ella’s big brother, husband to Marissa, brilliant musician, magician, and pyrotechnician who plays the drums, keyboards, bagpipes, writes amazing songs, and sings in the band. He has his own recording studio and is the mastermind behind our latest studio projects, producing “Session Tunes,” Sweet Impossible Christmas, "The Resurrection Story," and our latest single “Trust Thou in the Lord.” He recently produced Dawn’s project, Titus the Musical, and is feverishly working on our next studio album Journey. Noah
Our Sweet Joanna is sister to Dawn and Maranatha, Auntie to Noah and Ella, amazing fiddler and singer, who never ceases to dazzle us with her fiddle tunes and songs. Her heart for worship is truly inspiring to us. She won the US National Scottish Fiddling Championship in 2017. When she isn’t doing MPK she can be found playing in orchestras, teaching violin lessons, leading worship, and teaching at Jink and Diddle School of Scottish Fiddling. You may think her violin is permanently glued to her hand, but we assure you that she does set it down to play with her adorable nieces and nephews, travel to cool places, and learn fantastic languages like Hebrew. Joanna
Ella
Meet Ella, the youngest member of the band. Ella is Dawn's youngest and only daughter, and has studied violin with her teacher and auntie, Joanna since she was seven. She blesses MPK with her beautiful, pure vocals and violin. She also plays and sings in her brother's band, King's Conquest. Besides music, Ella is a skilled crafter, an excellent hunter, is extremely handy with epoxy resin and the wood lathe, and is now MARRIED! Welcome to the family Alex!
Pastor Vince
Pastor Vince is not only Maranatha's amazing husband and loving father to our band babies, but an extremely multi-talented human! On October 1, 2020, he officially became Pastor of Our Father’s House Christian Community Church in Chili, WI. We are entirely grateful the Lord gave him to us. He is an amazing sound engineer. His organizational skills keep these creative artists on task! His eye for photography and design has improved our ability to reach people with the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ in this digital age. Yay Pastor Vince!!! Fun fact, Pastor Vince even has his own real estate photography business!
MPK: Mama and the Preacher’s Kids
Preacher
Pastor and papa! Meet Pastor Ron, the patriarch of this crew. He has been a pastor since 1973 and recently retired as senior pastor at Our Father’s House Christian Community Church. Since 2006, he has served as our MC and Scottish Historian. Unfortunately, on September 18, 2019, he and Mama were in a tragic motorcycle accident that took Mama to the arms of Jesus. Preacher sustained horrific injuries leading to 26 days in the hospital and 50 days in a rehab facility. Keep praying for continued healing of both shoulder repairs. Miraculously, he was back in the pulpit for the Christmas Eve Candlelight service! He is a living, breathing miracle, and we are so thankful to have him!!! God is good and promises to go with us into the fiery furnaces of life.
Mama
Our beautiful Mom and grammy, Deb, was THE BEST. She is irreplaceable. She was an incredible songwriter, had a melty alto, gorgeous voice, was an award winning guitarist, served as a nurse for over 40 yrs, was a devoted pastor’s wife, and just the best Mama and Grammy the world could ever know. We MISS her. She trained all of us up in the way we should go, a true Proverbs 31 woman! We LOVE YOU MAMA and thank you for obeying Jesus with your whole heart! See you soon! Her heart longed for people to know JESUS! You can meet her someday on the other side, but you have to know Jesus as your Lord and Savior! We were all born WICKED and separated from a Holy God! Won’t you repent? Turn from your sin and trust JESUS to make you new! He is your only hope. This world, full of darkness, will end! She would want you to know there is a God who LOVES YOU enough to take your punishment for your sin on a Roman torture device called the cross. He is slow to anger and abundant in mercy and will forgive! You have to turn to HIM and be honest! Invite JESUS into every corner of your life! Life is short! You might not get a tomorrow to procrastinate!
